As you may already know, one of St. Kevin’s GNS’s chosen School Self Evaluation areas is ‘Improving Problem-Solving Skills in Mathematics Through the Use of Digital Technologies in Teaching and Learning’. Stage Four of the School Self Evaluation process (Write and Share Report and Improvement Plan) is now near completion. The next stage of the S.S.E. process is Stage Five (Put Improvement Plan into Action) will formally commence after the Easter holidays.

From Easter to the Summer Holidays, in addition to problem-solving strategies in place in the classes, all students will explore Maths in the Environment through using their ‘Maths Eyes’ in and outside of the classroom. We hope to organise Maths Trails and activities to explore the importance to seeing the value of Maths outside of the classroom and in everyday life.
