National Children’s Choir
Our school choir has participated in the National Children’s Choir since 1987. Every two years, the 5th and 6th class pupils participate in the National Children’s Choir, an inter-school choir for primary school children. The National Children’s Choir the 5th and 6th Classes learn a repertoire of songs taught by teachers, and join with other local schools three times a year to rehearse these songs with Musical Directors. Every child then participates in a concert in the National Basketball Arena and we have been very fortunate in past years to have some of our pupils perform in the National Concert Hall, Dublin.
Our first practice for the National Children’s Choir in 2018 took place on the 8th of November in St. Ultan’s N.S. in Cherry Orchard. It was a great day and the girls were very well behaved as always. The first seven songs in the National Children’s Choir have been learned and practised. Well done to all involved.
