Well done to Sophie, Ciara, Erin, Nadine and Emma who represented the 6th class girls with five of the 6th class from St. Kevin’s Boys’ in the Garda Tallaght Schools Basketball tournament. After winning all their peliminary matches the team proceeded to the semi-finals against St. Dominic’s where their strong performance won them the match.
The last match standing in front of the team was the final against Ballcragh. It was a tight match, as you would expect, but the girls and boys from Kilnamanagh once again showed their determination, perseverance and skill to win by 6 points!
The team received medals and a trophy for the schools at the prize giving. There was even a celebratory trip to McDonalds, courtesy of the Gardaí in Tallaght!! A big thank you to all who organised the event, especially the Gardaí in Tallaght Station. It was a wonderful experience for the school and we will have to go back and defend our title next year!
