The girls were busy practising their road safety skills this week. Our hall was transformed into a little village and the girls had to safely move around the village on foot, on bikes and in cars. They took great care crossing the roads, making sure to stop, look and listen.
This week’s Jolly Phonics sounds are ‘ai’ (as in train) and j. ‘ai’ is a bit different to all the other sounds we have learnt because it needs two letters to make it. Have a listen to the songs below.
This week’s Jolly Phonics sounds are f and b. Try I-spy at home and see what objects you can find beginning with these sounds! We have no Aistear this week but lots of practice for the Nativity Play! Rehearsals are coming along nicely and the girls are working really hard learning their songs and actions.

This week’s Jolly Phonics sounds are u and l. The songs are below! Our Aistear theme stays the same for another week. The girls will be at the doctor’s surgery, building a hospital, painting their clay candle holders from last week and practising cutting and their Jolly Phonics sounds.
